2016 Porsche 911 Turbo Redesign, Engine and Release Date

New spy shots of the 2016 Porsche 911 Turbo emerge showing some hints about how it will look like. We bet that many of you have predicted that the new car won’t receive drastic cosmetic changes, it’s Porsche after all. New engine option is very likely for this version which will give some performance boost for the upcoming 911 Turbo.

That doesn’t mean they’re not there, even if Porsche has tried to hide the tweaks behind wraps and fake decals. One of the first things we noticed on the 911 Convertible prototype were the redesigned door handles.

At the rear, the bumper is re-sculpted and the tail lamps will get new graphics, while further up, the engine grille has more classic-looking inserts. A few other styling revisions that we expect to see on the final production car is a restyled front bumper, updated headlamps, and new LED daytime running lights.

The current 911 Turbo is already an incredible performance machine. The Turbo produces 520 horsepower and is capable of 3.0 second 0-60 mph sprints with the Sport Chrono package. If that’s not enough, the Turbo S version bumps the output to 560 horses and acceleration time falls a tenth to 2.9 seconds. Is it possible to make the 911 accelerate faster or perform better than this? If anybody can do it, it would the folks from Stuttgart.
