We expect that this update is a mid-cycle refresh, including slight exterior modifications, interior upgrades and more power. The updated Accord will possibly get Hybrid plug-in that can be easily switched to turbo engine to get more power.

The manufacturers have greatly addressed the issue of aerodynamics with a redesigned, sleek body shape that will be more stable. However, the usual appearance of its predecessors will still be recognizable.

A change in design could also be noticed in the front with thin LED lights expected to feature and a metal grill. The windows and rear view mirrors will also be better designed with the vent also being well designed in form of a square. There will also be more exterior colors to select from.

The 2016 Honda Accord Sport will also feature cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, 4-speaker audio system and exterior temperature indicator. Outside, all starts with 18-inch alloy wheels. From features, Sport model of 2016 Honda Accord gets vehicle stability assist, brake assist, daytime running lights and many more.

As at now, Honda has not provided any relevant information concerning the engine preference. However, there is no doubt that the engine options for new 2016 Honda Accord will remain same or quite similar to what we were able to get from previous versions. These includes; the 3.5 liter 24-valve DOHC V6 powertrain outputting 278 hp and 252 lb-ft torque and the 2.4 liter 16 valve 4-cylinder DOHC powertrain pumping 185 horsepower and 181 lb-ft. The two engines will be from the Earth Dreams lineup with better performance and better fuel economy.

This Accord will also come with an Hybrid that is expected to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. The hybrid model is expected to get a turbocharger engine that will be mated to CVT transmissions. Electric motor will be helping out this engine to achieve better fuel economy result but at this point we still do not know the amount of power it will offer. It will be at least 195 hp like it is the case with currently available model.
